When romeo kills Tybalt what does romeo use to kill him with IN THE STORY? because in the latest version (Film) he uses a gun, but did he use a sword in the story? or did he actually a gun?

in the play, im completely sure that he uses a sword, as did tybalt on mercutio.
if youre writing on/discussing R&J, id suggest not making references to the movie, or counting on facts from the movie itself, as the movie does swerve from the play at times (as this proves).

ummm during the settting of romeo and juliette handguns weren't practical. i BELIEVE there were flint lock pistols but that' is optimistic seeing as i dont' recall the date of setting. anyway in the origional story romeo slew tybalt with his rapier , a sword with a long thin blade, that was popular among many europeans, mainly italians, as a preffered medium for dueling.

Oh, meekie. The whole point of Baz Luhrmann's film is that it updates the original Shakespeare. There are no guns in the play. Everyone used swords.
