Hi there, I live in Malta, although I don't smoke the average price of a packet of ciggies is about Lm1.55 around 2.75 sterling, hope that is of some help, my husband tells me tobacco would be around 90cents - Lm1.25, depending on the make, From what I've heard it is a lot cheaper than the UK. VAT here is 17%. Alcohol is also alot cheaper. If you need anymore help just ask.

I doubt if you really care about the cost of "taxis" though!
