Hi, I moved into my flat about three years ago and have never bothered with the alarm and it;s never given me any bother. This morning though the outside part of the alarm was sort of going off. Well it didn't sound well anyway. It was kind of crackling with a very faint alarm sound. It sounded like a wet battery in there or something. I reset my alarm and it stopped for a bit, then started, then finally seems to have stopped. However, I'm scared of it starting again. Also, now whenever I go into the loo I set the alarm off inside! I just want to get rid of the bloody thing. Is there any way I can completely disable it easily myself without having to pay someone? Can't I just open up the panel and disconnect from the mains somehow? HELP!! My neighbours will hate me!

call out an alarm company, if you alarm has been fitted properly there will be a battery in the box on the wall & that could ring for hours, it will only take 5 mins to power it down to make sure it never squeaks again, make the man a cup tea & he shouldnt charge you more than £20

it works on me
