When I was in Korea. In a department store I saw white worm things for sale to eat in a tank. What were they?

It was in Carfore in Ilsan on the fish counter. They were in a tank of water, they were wriggling around, they were white and about a foot long and they didn't appear to have eyes. I thought they might by eels but they looked more like large fat white worms, what the hell were they?

Could have been elvers ( baby eels).
