I read in the Daliy Mail (which americans insist on calling Londons daliy mail) an article about how the american goverment caused 9/11 to justify the iraq war and I head 1 in 4 americans think the goverment lied about it, I've belived this for a while but what do you think?

George ... I've seen other questions like yours and I wanted to express my appreciation for you not expressing this point as if it were indeed a fact.
All I can say is this: If even one tiny shred of evidence supporting this alleged conspiracy can be discovered and verified, the mainstream media outlets (as opposed to the 'nutty' ones) of the world would have a FIELD day with the story and whoever made and verified these discoveries would be honored in ways we cannot imagine.
But let's not hold our breath and let's pay more attention to mainstream sources of news. The major media outlets want the story as much as anyone else, but unlike the tabloids and some other sources of questionable repute, the big outlets have something to lose by spreading these conspiracy theories: their reputations and thus their business.

The truth is that a group of people hijacked several planes, flew 2 into the World Trade Center Towers, 1 into the Pentagon, and intended to fly one into the White House. All the rest is conjecture and opinion.
Please consider this: If the US government did conspire to do such a thing, how could it possibly continue to be covered up? Such a conspiracy would require the participation of hundreds of people. It is human nature to talk and reveal such secrets. The investigative powers and knowledge of the press in the US and UK would certainly have uncovered such a conspiracy by this time - don' you think.
A secret can only be kept by 2 people, and one of those has to be dead - so the joke goes. This is probably close to the truth.

thats not why the goverment is having a war! I know im not suposed to tell you this but the american goverment discovered massive amounts of gas underneath the iraq grounds and the iraqe people axedentaly found out so people like osama bin ladin think that america will steal the gas and rule the country (wich they are about to) and started to bargen with iran to give them bombes and whatever , after america decided to enter Iraq and what they did , and this was in osamas head : they did this to us , so what do we do? hey! what about the words largest towers and its the country we hate we hate . and I say for the first time america and the arab also unite and say the he is a basterd , a lucky basterd

Just as the government hid the true facts about the attack on Pearl Harbour, they are no doubt withholding all the facts on 9/11. I suggest you read all you can on the subject from sources, not only in the states, but other countries as well. Then you can have an informed opinion.

I recommend you watch the film V for Vendetta, with Natalie Portman. Its set in London, England and is all about how the Government set up a police state based on terrorist activities which led to the death of thousands of people. I think some scepticism is healthy, but keep an open mind...

No one knows but I find the stuff Alex Jones has to say on it all raises an eyebrow definitely.
There's just too many things odd about that day, and people were too upset to notice, but later in looking back, you have to question these discrepancies and oddities. I don't think anyone will ever know the truth.

This is going to end up being one of those historical unanswered questions...ranking up there with "who really killed JFK" and "was Marilyn Monroe murdered" and "did Lizzy Borden really kill her parents"?
We will never know the answer to this.

9/11 was an act of terror caused by extremists from outside the u.s. please don't let anybody manipulate you with false information and exotic theories.
