80's

1: Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi
2: Armageddon It by Def Leppard
3: Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses
4: Seek and Destroy by Metallica
5: Sick Love Song by Motley Crue

70's

1: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
2: Dream On by Aerosmith
3: Paint it Black by Rolling Stones
4: Lifes Been Good by Joe Walsh and the James Gang
5: Bad Company by Bad Company
5: Blue Morning, Blue Day by Foreigner

I did Top 5 Lists per Era Cause I like a ton of music from these Eras. The big 80's Hair Bands. And the Drug Times and Arena Rock of the 70's. A Tie on #5 in 70's as They are Equally good in my eyes.

this is really hard. I've kind of singled out the years 76-83 as being the best of the period you mentioned but even then, it'd difficult to choose one song.

Anarchy in the UK - Sex Pistols
Up The Junction - Squeeze
London Calling - Clash
Anything by the Cure
The really early REM stuff

True Faith By New Order!!!!
Rythem Is the Dancer - Snap.
Another Night, Another Dream - La Bouch.
Madonna's old stuff.
Going onto early 90's really.
