When I was eleven years old I had a serious head injury.

And was recently thinking now I am older 39 (eeek) If me and my g/f decided to have a child would the head injury affect the childs development in any way?

Thank you

No, your head injury is something inflicted on you later in your childhood. It's not genetic, your child should be fine. :)

No, since the head injury was an external occurrence. On the other hand, if you got your head injury because your brain did not tell you to stop walking in traffic, then yeah, there may be problems.

Fortunately no! Head injuries are not genetic and are not like radiation.

Ah yes! if you received any intense radiation treatment at any time, that may affect you.

Some medicines affect your sperm.

Best thing is to get your semen tested for sperm quantity and quality.

It could only affect you as you are not the one who will be carrying the baby. But a bad head injury could make you infertile so be warned.
