she will say whatever she feels she needs to say at the time. just like when john kerry denounced evil SUVs and then when he was in the huge auto maker towns he raved about how much he loved his SUVs. it's politics.

Simple answer... because she stands by her vote based on the evidence that was given to her. I would do the same. The problem with ppl is that they are not realizing Bush knew that evidence was flawed. He is the one to blame. The doctored, faked intelligence was portraying a real threat. Of course Hillary would have voted to give the president authority to protect our country.

What she, nor any other congressional members, did NOT do, was give him authority to ingore the UN and invade Iraq unilaterally.

It's called "pandering to get the vote." She's continuing her trend of telling the people standing in front of her whatever she thinks they want to hear just to get them to vote for her. That's what she did to get elected Senator from NY State twice...just goes to show two things: That she's a liar and a typical politician, and the people of NY State aren't as smart as they think they are.

Playing to her middle base, (The base that keeps her in politics) she will always have the far left by default. Remember if she was rallying on the west coast or at a liberal university it would be typical far left "We hate Bush Anti War" follow the polls and you will always know what a Clinton speaks.

I'm really disappointed in her. It's obvious she's afraid to lose prospective voters from the southern states. All of the other candidates would play the "please the potential voters" game too, and that's just unfortunate.

Because she knows there are people who won't vote for her if she does. She's trying to position herself in an impossible position.

She stood by it, because when she cast that vote she thought our President would never lie to us.

Now she regrets believing him.
