sodding thing never worked from the moment I first installed the damn on my PC when it was Brand new in December......... ordinary windows messenger shipped with XP Service Pack2 worked fine, but Windows Live Messenger wouldn't........... as you can now talk to people using MSN / Windows Live messenger on Yahoo Messenger (Version 8.1+) I use that instead, since it actually works and doesn't crash like MSN / Windows Live messenger.

Make sure you have the latest version. For Windows XP and Windows Vista: Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178. If you don't you cane get it from Microsoft here.
