i have cd-dvd combo i can burn cd but can only read dvd
i want to burn dvd with it

Sorry, but you're not going to be able to do it. You need a DVD burner for that. The good news is, they're relatively cheap these days (I just got a Lite On one for $40). Good luck!

It could be that the CD/DVD combo is only a cd writer. If it isn't the drive, it can be the software. If you are trying to copy a commercial DVD, you have to remove the copy protection first. You can find out more at :

No you can not burn DVD with a CD burner. You need to buy DVD burner and you can burn burn both DVD and CD with it.

i'm sorry to say that you could not burn DVDs using a combo drive.. as it says, it is a cd burner - dvd READER.. what it does is only read DVDs, not actually burn dvd copies on it... it only BURN CDs and READ DVDs... get it? :-D

nope u need a DVD burner u can get one for 50 dollars and u can also burn cds with it and watch dvds.
