Have you negotiated a doctor's medical bill?

Has anyone ever negotiated a doctor's medical bill? If so how did you go about doing it and were you successful?

I have heard of people negotiating when paying cash. I haven't personally done that because I have insurance. Pretty tough to try to get out of a $10 copay. The way I understand it, it's for people with no benefits and you can negotiate for a lower price if paying cash. I wouldn't be shy if it were me. Just ask the reception desk if they honor such a plan? Good luck to you!! I hope you get good results.
