It is a viral infection (my painted turtles had it awhile ago) get a dry box and put it in there, give it enough water to drink but not to get in and keep it warm, every day put him in clean water for about 20 minutes, after it has swam you need to treat the ifected spots daily with H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), deepending on the size of the turtle use a cotten ball or cu-tip soak it in H2O2 then apply it to the spots, then wash the turtle off and do the same thing but with providone-iodine solution, this time put it thikly on the spots and don't wash it off, then put him back in the dry box. After about two weeks of this the spots should be gone. Before you put him back in the cage however you need to clean the cage thoroughly scrub every rock side corner ect., and be shure that all the water is fresh and clean.

You definitely need to take them to an "exotics" vet. Call vets in your area and tell them what it is that you have and ask if their vet is considered an 'exotics' vet - most are not, but with some phone calls, someone should be able to recommend one or two in your area.

Your turtles are going to need some antibiotics and this isn't something you can treat at home. You need to get them on the antibiotics SOON, as the blisters in their mouths are probably keeping them from eating. Meanwhile, you might try soaking their food until it is soft, then using an eyedropper to feed them.

But PLEASE get them to a vet ASAP or they will die :-(

Best of luck to you and your little ones - hope you can get a vet in time........
