The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Mikhailevitch Dostoyevsky. (also Crime and Punishment by the same author)

Absolutely breathtaking and profoundly existential. I cried at the end of the book- not because it was sad or moving, but because it was over and i didn't want it to be. By the way, Dostoyevsky has MUCH more talent than Dan Brown or that Harry Potter lady. Those books were written for the masses- for a lower level of intelligence (which is why they're so popular- people don't like to think) there is really no talent in them. I call this type of "literature," Trash Fiction.

I havent read too many books lately but the best by far is:

Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon...
After that i would say
Rage of Angels by Sidney SHeldon..
and right now i'm reading this really interesting book called....
Blue Smoke- By Nora Roberts..

The reason i like master of the game so much is because its has such a good plot..great story lines... There are so many characters and the way there tied together is interesting and the story gets better and better towards the end... This is the kind of book you wont want to put down..but thats just my opinion...

I think my all time favourite is "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier. Because when you get to the end, you realize that you read the complete book with the wrong premise and so have to begin again and re-read it with the new information.

Truly it is a masterwork.

Unfortunately, the other Daphne du Maurier books I read do not compare to Rebecca.

Fahrenheit 451, it totally made me think about the future and what life would be like if the government controlled all of our thoughts and actions.
