Electronicdotfly, i'm not saying that looking for help with others is wrong..its just that looking at most of the questions that have been asked in this YA msia travel section seems like idiculous..come on..Q' like What is your favorite holiday destination?' and this fellar even dare to ask for us to list a full essay...
what was that? cant even imagine a simple thing like that ka...that shows how LAZY this fellar to do his/her homework...
anyway, i'm not angry lah..just to point out that YA is not a solution to everything!

Myra,
It just so happens that I would have to agree with you. This lazy person is even asking us to write his/her essay for their school homework!
This should never be allowed to happen as the child will never learn anything of any great importance before entering collage/university or indeed life.
But however, having said that I do kind of admire the 'cheekiness' of the little fellow for thinking of asking such a thing! and hope that he/she succeeds in life :-)

I believe that for a student to not even bother trying and just ask someone for the answers to a question straight away is wrong, but Myra, if you have tried, researched, and thought of the answer for some time but still CAN'T get the right answer, wouldn't you ask your teacher, peers or family for help?
Some, or even all the "budak sekolah" you're talking about could have seriously tried to do their work as best as they can and as the last thing they can do, they ask the public. I see no wrong in that.

When I was studying in secondary school in the 1970s (that's what it was called then, not "Sekolah Menengah"), me & my mates used to go to library after school hours to do research on our homework & projects, looking up reference books working as a team helping each other out & basically having an enjoyable time. Yes, those were the days.
Nowadays, with the onset of computers & internet, student life is now much easier. Want to do research? Just google the subject. Want someone to help you with your homework? Ask your question in Yahoo! Answers. When seating for your exams, secretly bring in your cell phone to the exam hall, put on silent mode. I know, even though it's banned, they still managed to bring it in anyway. Just SMS to your friends the questions hoping that some smart *** will respond with the correct answer.
Well, that's my opinion for what it's worth..

If the internet (world wide web) and all these rubbish was available when I was in skool, I would be the first to admit, I'd do the same too.

if i were a teacher, i'll ask YA for what homework should i give to my students and when they submit to me i'll ask them via YA to ask YA to check the homework, so i don't have to do anything but answering YA all day, so do my students
