Well there was a Charles Kellogg who made the famous quote

"Essentially, all life depends upon the soil ... There can be no life without soil and no soil without life; they have evolved together"

Although I would have thought that a bit obscure for a pub quiz

The surname Kellogg means killer of pigs in the same way that Fisher, Tanner etc have clear occupational origins. Could that help?

Kellogg is a place in the US, near Spokane, & supplies pets with their basic needs - food, litter, etc. Type "Kellogg animals" into Google - I did.
