I've been down south and made comparisons to the city of Denver and don't know why Denver the mile high city is labled a cow town... Is it the air, the lousy transit system and of course D.I.A international airport...Just wondering... Planning on relocating to the mile high city................

The cows are in Greeley. You can smell Greeley from about 10 miles outside of it. It stinks!

Yes, cows are everywhere but I live in Greeley which is about an hour north of denver and we are considered the cowtown because there are so many farms and they have a huge slaughter house here. certian days it smells really bad too.

Not as much as Cheyenne, but Denver DOES take pride in it's western heritage. That's all they mean by that. There are a lot of surrounding areas that are all about ranching, though. Could be one of the reasons that it is labeled as such.

Perhaps because the people referring to it as cow town are ignorant and have never visited. Perhaps you should choose someplace else since you're seemingly buying into the ignorance.
