The very Best Book I had, What to Expect When You're Expecting, I can't remember the author. I'm Sure it's still out there. Easy to read, sensible and will be HELPFUL for young parents. Best of love and luck to ALL of you.
God Bless.

Wow, Wanda, your doctor actually gave you a book!?! Thats really nice and expensive. Most doctors only give you pamphlets and a pocket folder of literature. Some give samples.
I bought the What to expect when your expecting...I found it very useful. But also, for some people too much knowledge isn't a good thing, because they take the book to literally and assume every bad thing will happen to them. So it can be a "catch 22"

Usually when you go for your first pre-natal visit to the Dr. they give you a packet that comes with a great expecting baby book that is called what to expect when your expecting. If she doesn't get one when she goes then, try Barnes and Noble or any other book store. That is a wonderful book it talks about everything about pregnancy and also, after baby is born. It is a great book. Congratulations on being a Grandma.

I found Parenting for dummies to be a easy to read book - it breaks everything down into easy to understand info and steps to follow that even 'dummies' could do!!

there's a book called something like..."the girfriend's guide to pregnancy-all the things your doctor never told you" it's GREAT, especially for younger moms (like i was). also, it sounds dumb but the babies first year for dummies is one of my favs. i got it as a joke at my shower but it's one of the best ones i got.
