you can... but be careful, on certain engines radweld blocks up the matrix.. and causes overheating... bars leaks is better...

It's not directly piped to the radiator, but is part of the cooling system. Radweld is always worth a go as its a lot cheaper than replacing the matrix.

You can try rad weld , it some time`s fixes the problem but only as temp measure . i would recommend changing the full matrix as if this was to burst while driving the consequences could be severe as you will have boiling hot water ( temp approx 200 degrees ) spraying all over the inside of the car as it is indeed fed by the radiator .

Unless your into replacing radiators, water pumps, thermostats then dont use rad weld. It just gums everything up. I wouldnt use unless your selling the car in the near future.

The heater matrix is part of the cooling system. its effectively another radiator fed from another set of pipes going through the car bulkhead.

I have witnessed Bars Leaks doing the job, in the pits, in the middle of a race!

you can bypass the matrix but you will have no hot air blowing through the heater . don;t use rad weld it clogs everything up
