Well, it all started with the French and Indian War that happened in North America. It was British's obligation to help secure the colonists so they did. Because of this, British was under a huge debt and British thought it was colonist's obligation to help pay some of the debts since they protected them. Colonists were not happy about the taxing, they accused Britian "taxing without representation" So the war started.
They were successful because of a good leader (George Washington) and French also helped them. However colonists were also not successful since their initial goals came up different. They first wanted a representation in the parliament but ended up becoming independent.

human beings are the ancestors of British colonists, so the motives are not in line with way of lifestyles yet relatively ideals. The colonists gained their independence and freedom from England for obtrusive motives that are exemplified by means of the human spirit as seen in lots of different historic cases.

the british government was dealing with the colonials as if they were third class citizens, rather than as british citizens. the colonies were successful at gaining their freedom from british rule because the british were unable to bring the full weight of their military against the colonies due to being at war in europe and trying to hold their empire together with too little resources. somethiong had to give.

They were being taxed to death by England. They valued their independence and freedom. We would do well to remember that lesson today.

war is a revolution..
people change all the time and i guess they were american were succesful bcoz of "heroes" and principles at that time.
