Not at all. The torah and the Bible are two of the most bloodthirsty books ever written, and they have been around a lot longer than the Koran.

Crack open a history book someday and read about the Crusades, the Inquisition and the Spanish Conquest and then ask the same question.

Spend a week in Occupied Palestine or read about the brave freedom fighters of the Irgun and the Stern Gang and then ask about "barbarians."

When most of the religions of the world came into being, including Islam, most of the then inhabitants on earth were barbarians. Humans have come a long way since then and are not (at least, excepting an insignificant few) barbarians any more.

Infact, Islam, as it is a peace loving religion, some selfish persons, groups have hijacked it. It is the individuals or groups to be blamed not the religion as a whole. Some muslims who live inside America have come to the realization that there are better things to do than go to war about religion. America is a country where there are so many cultures, you can't help but learn to get along. That's where our capitalist system makes us a more peaceful nation. So muslims here have come to moderate their views.

Unfortunately, most of the rest of the world does not have this system, so they are more prone to . Islam is the one major religion in the world today that encourages it's people to who does not agree with them.
