More than likely to be a wind-up. There is no way you could charge a phone when it's not connected to electricity.
It could be that the number to call is a premium-rate call, these can be over £1.50 a minute and the person who owns the number gets some of this money

Yes it does exists in world. Actually dialing a code makes phone to activate internal battery and some what it gives longer battery. I used to do it in older models of Nokia 3-4 years back but I don't have those codes at moment. Sure, you will get if you find on internet. there are several other codes for Nokia which does magic tricks. Expect unexpected!!

You've been conned - dial a number to get more battery life - Oh! c'mon - get real

If I told you to put a bag on your back and threw you out of a plane at 15,000 feet and said don't worry, it will open out and guide you to the ground at 2mph - would you believe me!

There is no such thing - the only way to increase battery life is with a better batter that has a higher Mah rating

Your battery is not connected to your phone as such. If you phoned a numebr, your phone wouldn't change colour!
