Hi,
I am litigating a case as pro se in the state of NY.
The case is about breach of contract and fraud.
The case is in court for nearly 5 years. Recently, during investigation that I have conducted, I found out evidance for
possible criminal action taken by defendent (among other things fraud against others as well, purgery etc.)
My question is, if I fill a criminla application against him with the police, can i ask to adjourne the civil case until the police investigation is over?

you can petition the court to rule on any matter that will have legal standing in the issue at hand.

You can file a petition. The court does not have to grant it.
