I do NOT want to jinx it but the in the last week:
-The games have been way more intense
-The Refs are less out of control
-Fighting seems to be more
-The games have been way more entertaining
- I feel a little happy that I purchased center Ice.
I really hope it stays this way. Sorry to be positive, I know its not like me but I'm enjoying a NHL game....

No way bettman is busy measuring for the bigger goals he will try to put in next year. As well as plotting half a dozen other lame "additions" to the game.

If Bettman is too stupid to realize that moving the All Star game to midweek and to a channel nobody has led to a 76% drop in ratings, do you think he's smart enough to even come to any message board to read what fans want? Heck....can he even read?

The main reason for that is taht teams care more at this stage- playoffs are coming, the trade deadline is almost here, and everybody wants the cup. Early season games dont' matter nearly as much as the ones at this stage.

To be totally honest with you I really miss the espn coverage. Gary Thorn calling the games! I can't get into versus. I would always watch the games that were on espn but now I don't even bother. Plus no-one checks anymore, you can't use your stick to do anything but shoot, and it's really not hockey anymore. It has been a little better lately but then again I'm a flyers fan!
