why do europeans like to blames america for all the problems of the world? is it because they are socialists who just hate free market capitalism or what? not just the iraq war, but every problem on earth they blame america on instead of letting others assume their own responsibility for it. the only *international* war that america *started* is the 2nd iraq war, yet every calls them THE warmonger.

I don't think they blame America, but they sure blame the American government for starting the war in Iraq.

I don't think that they blame America for all the problems of the world, after Sept 11, everybody was behind the USA. A diverse international force is present right now in Afghanistan to help the new gov. to settle and police the country (even the French and German, who were against the US intervention in Iraq)

However, invading Iraq looking for WMD with no proof of existence and without finishing the job of finding Ben Laden wasn't the smartest diplomatic move ever done by the American governemnt. Look at the mess there now!!
The Us army is a very efficient machine and now soldiers are stuck there, loosing their life for a cause which is not well defined.
Yes, America has to take the blame for that!

I never heard anything about America being responsible for the AIDS epidemics, au contraire, I heard praises on the research and on the information campaign. Same thing about Education, America is the first country in the Number of Nobel Prizes, and excellent university. And the list of why America can be liked for is long.
Stop feeling hated by the rest of the World, it is not true. I am European, travel in Asia and live in the USA. I am proud of being part of this country.
Yes, polical social models between Europe and America are different, the history is different.
You might want to go on the Internet and read some international news like the BBC, or even the Japan Times or some German, French, Swede Newspapers written in English. It might give you another perspective than the US based news companies. Their focus is often quite different, you don't have to agree just keep an open mind.

Uh, Some of us Americans believe we (Americans) are the problem in the world. We Can't help but start wars I guess. I think the war in Iraq was a horrible mistake. We shouldn't have been over there at all if we can't even pin down Osama. I mean what the heck. Now we want to go to North Korea. And Guess what. No sign of Bin Laden. HUH???? I think we should focus on finding him before we go to war with someone we might lose against. the USA is a, I wouldn't say evil, but definitely not a good Empire. Yes I said it, We (America) are an Empire, Like it or not. (For the record, I believe in supporting our troops, but I don't support many wars that we shouldn't be in, Iraq is a great example. We should not be there. And we are basically sending boy to get killed over there.)

Some one made a comment about sweeping Generalizations about Europe. I rather do it about my country of USA than Someone elses Continent. **** We have our own problems than that of yours. I don't hear many things About war over in Europe here, so you all (Europeans) seem to have your act together. Damn I hate President Bush.

Because of the USA politics and their leader who try to impose the Pax Americana - not only have americans started wars in places like Korea, Vietnam or Iraq, they have also financialy supported wars between counties (Iran-Iraq), dictatorships in some others (Greece, south America, Afganistan), and they tend to invade others when their interests are threatened (Grenada?). Moreover, USA (and China) is the biggest polluter in the world, and they have refused to ratify the Kyoto treaty. The problem is exactly that the USA do not mind their own home problems, they want to interfere in internal affairs of other sovereign countries. And the worse is that nowadays, they tend to succeed.

I think the issue lays in Americas policy, it exerts its power in an undiplomatic way which usually involves some kind of military capacity.

Look at the current situation surrounding Iran, America wishes to go in all guns blazing where the older powers of the world such as the United Kingdom and Germany wish to take the diplomatic approach.

America is like the buff young brother of the world that has alot of strength but hasn't quite grown up to see the power of diplomacy.

Maybe because some Americans don't understand Europe and come out with questions like 'Is it because they are all socialists who just hate free market capitalism". Such sweeping mistakes and misunderstandings about the Geography and make up of Europe don't help.

Don't worry about that. When sh?t hits the fan in their own country they'll be knocking on America's door to help them out.
And like you said, still gets the blame. Yet, don't accept the responsibility that it's their own fault.
