Imagine a world without hope. It would be a very bleak one.... hope is what keeps us going when things are bad- it is that glimpse of what was, and what can be.
If we have nothing to hold on to then what drive is there in life. What keeps us in education or work- surely it is the hope (no matter how subtle it is) that we will do well in life. Or why do we seek out love- is it not the hope that we will meet someone who makes us feel happy and understands us. you see, we experience hope in some form (no matter how small) every day without thinking about it.
So without hope, you could say there is no life. You would be nothing because you would feel nothing- hope is a feeling that is connected to so many emotions it is part of what makes us human.

It most certainly is. People can survive forty days without food, a week without water, a few minutes without air, but only 1 second without hope. To lose hope is to give up on life altogether.

No I do not think it necessary. But humans beings are insecure & so cling to hope. We live too much in our minds & think incessantly. If you live in the present & take each day as it comes you dont need hope to live as we all have the strength.

It is, but it is inbuilt into our sub-conscious, so don't worry too much. Sometimes our conscious minds can overpower that unconscious part, but it is a lot stronger than most people will ever have to learn from experience.
In short, we or others have to work hard to lose our hope.

almost all religions (yet one in demand obnoxious one) promote non violent coexistence. So even as you may not in certain count on a particular faith you make the most of the guidelines that were placed into position by technique of persons with non secular backgrounds. even as some atheists and agnostics are unfavorable to faith (imagine Reddit), i imagine it quite is being unappreciative for the commonly non violent and wealthy society that could be commonly credited to the impact of faith.

Because we have hope, we have the faith to conquer the enemy in our life, then we survive and enjoy what the life can bring to us.
