I still can't get over it. There seems to be a sizeable contingent that blindly support the guy no matter what. Whenever the Bears lost, they blamed the defense, injuries, coaching, the line ANYTHING but the guy who chucked 20 plus interceptions and posted two games with QB ratings of 1.3 and 0.0.

Seriously, what will it take for you Rex supporters to realize he's NOT the quarterback for the Bears?

He sucks and should go from Chicago. The problem is, Griese isn't that much better. They need to sign or draft a real franchise QB. Defense got them to the Super Bowl, not Rex.

The same guy who posted QB ratings of 1.3 and 0.0 also posted several quarterback ratings in the 100's. The Bears obliterated the defending NFC champion Seahawks (twice!), beat the Saints, and only lost to the Colts by a few points in a game the Colts were predicted to win anyway.

Aikman was once 1-15. Elway lost several Super Bowls in a row. I'm not saying Grossman is as good as either of those quarterbacks, but this was his first NFL season in full and he got the Bears to the Super Bowl. Lovie's right. Give the guy some time.

Does sympathy count? I thought he played pretty well FOR the Colts in the Superbowl. THANX REX! Honestly I think he's a pretty bad quarterback but I feel really sorry for him. I guess you can defend him the same way you can defend Tony Romo: He's still pretty young and he's got a hell of alot of work to do. He might be OK 10 years from now. There you go, I tried to defend Rex Grossman. (No offense to Tony Romo fans, he's got alot of potential and he should be really good a few years down the road.)

I like the Bears, and am frustrated with the idea that Lovie Smith continues to stick with him. The Bears would be a legitimate championship team with even a decent QB.

U wanna know what i am a huge bears fan... and the only reason why they had lost the super bowl is because of the defense... it is not Rex Grossman's fault.. no one can say that he did it...

Could be because he lead the Bears to the Super Bowl...first Bear QB to do that since the glory days of Mike Ditka and Jim McMahon...just a shot in the dark though...

They can't. The Bears got there in spite of Grossout, not because of him. And he choked, and they lost!
