After weighing a number of sources, I have concluded that there
was indeed an Atlantis. Psychic sources say the Red race
was the dominat race then, and I feel the Chittim mentioned in the Bible were the desendants of the Atlanteans.
The U.S. is the "ships of Chittim" mentioned in Daniel. The present day land of the Red peoples. And the Basques of Spain are said to be descendants from Atlantis.
Psychic sources say they had a Giant Crystal they used for war and it backfired breaking Atlantis up into islands.
Ezekiel 1:22 KJV mentions the "terrible crystal." Jeremiah
mentions the Chittim, and notably that they came from islands.
The crystal is said to be in the Bermuda Triangle. Where one
of 12 vortexes is at work. And when the magnetic forces are right in our solar system, it activates, and possibly shoots things out into space, or sucks them into the ocean. It might even create a portal or time warp of some type.
Edgar Cayce said Atlantis would start to rise in a particular year around the Islands of Bimini. And that year they noticed stone
structures resembling roads underwater there.

Hi well I can add little more to the description given, it was indeed recorded by Plato, but whether this is an exact witness account or passed on by word of mouth is unsure. There were certainly civilisations in the Mediterranean that were destroyed fire, pestilence, war, famine, flood you name it. Lots of books and articles written about Atlantis sadly most are just works of fiction. Did it exist well I think yes in some form or other, possibly it was a reference to the Mycenae culture. I believe one day archaeology will provide the exact answer but I also believe those people who wish to believe in the myth will continue to believe in it. So I think really it is down to individual, enjoy it.

The Atlantis was in the Atlantic Ocean. There is still an Amerindian tribe who are the Atlantes.
Many islands have appeared and disappeared, and still do now. The Atlantis was one of them.

No one knows for sure, yet. There are many theories on who the people of Atlantis actually were and where the city was located. Some think it's in the Mediterranean, some think it's in the Atlantic, near Africa or near Portugal. Some think it's in the Bahamas or even Antarctica.

The description by Plato states that Atlantis lay "Beyond the pillars of Hercules" wihich is taken to mean the straits of Gibraltar, ie, in the Atlantic. There are a number of unstable volcanic island chains such as the Canary Islands in this region.

It was a major city on the supercontinent that was Pangea. When Pangea broke up Atlantis disappeared. It was located near what was to become the Atlantic Ocean. I know the legends but I have inside information I'm sharing.;)

A myth based on a probable true event when an island civilisation was wiped out by a tsunami or volcanic eruption. The location for such an island was probably in the Aegean sea.

After exhaustive research I have determined that: there are some elements of truth to the legend

Try not to think in terms of Atlantis as a sunken island, but rather a destroyed civilization.

In all likelihood, the Egyptians were the surviving remnants of this civilization.

This is one intriguing piece of evidence:

The story of Atlantis was written by Plato, a Greek philosopher about 700 years BC. He intended it as a children's story.
