I went jogging yesterday and after about 10 mins my knee went stiff and a bit painfull, it made it difficault to properly "kick" my leg forward when running. This morning it still feels stiff and slightly painfull. Does anyone know what this might be and should I carry on jogging to "run it off"

You need to use the joint and continue to exercise it. But try to run on something soft like grass or muddy paths. Also investing in a good quality running shoe, not a trainer helps to cusion the blows. If you were to go to a physiotherapist they could give you some treatments to help repair the damage quickly and they would also tell you to continue using the knee as much as the good one, or the muscle starts to wear away.

Looks like you didn't warm up properly before your run, did you? You need to do this so you do less damage to your muscles etc if you twist it or something and for other reasons.

I'd say rest your knee till it feels better and be more careful next time! If it doesn't feel better in about 3 days, go to see your Dr!

NO JOGGING !!! I would put ice on it ,if it`s swelling up. Then after 24 hours, start using heat. If it`s inflamed you can take Ibuprofen, If none of this works after a week or so. See your doctor.

Sounds like a torn meniscus. If it is, you should not 'run it off'.
