G'day,

Sounds like you are quite a good candidate for MBA study. This is my suggestion:
1. Find the university that offer the area of your study. You can use the service of IDP Education Australia to find this out. Almost all universities in Australia offer MBA, but some of them has more specialisation that you may want to study.
2. Once found, you can either send your application with your education details & work references directly to the uni, or lodge the application through one of the education agents closest to your area.

Some institutions offer a mid-year intake (July), but it is best to consult the website for more info.

In regards to work, as an international student, you can only work 20hrs/week during study period, and full-time during holiday (must apply for additional work permit). Once graduated, you can lodge an application for a PR through Department of Immigration or any immigration agents in Australia. The universities have career services that can assist students to find jobs, but you may also want to contact the employment agencies as well.

Australian qualifications are recognised worldwide. There are only 3 private universities in Australia (the rest are public) and all of them must have a good standard of teaching materials to be able to offer their programs to international students. So do not worry abt which uni you are going to.

Hope this helps. Good luck for your study.

My recommendation to you is the University of Otago for an MBA. On-campus recruitment does happen, and you can acquire PR once you have a job offer - in IT though, which is a shortage skills list profession, you can even get permanent residence on the grounds of being qualified. PR calculation happens here: www.immigration.gov.nz
You will find it easier to get into NZ than AUS. Everybody heads for Oz because of the higher wages and temperatures, probably not realizing that higher wages also mean higher cost of living, and a more competitive job market.
International recognition of South Pacific universities is no problem, provided you study on a 4-year course. 3-year bachelors will still be recognized in the UK though.

Praful,
Doing an MBA is a great decision. I am also an MBA from top-10 MBA college in USA so I can answer your question partially.
NZ and Australia are not really recognised internationally. Australia AGSM program though is much better than the rest atleast in Asia.
I would recommend that you get in touch with the junta in these colleges and get a feel of the career opportunities.
Since its a lifetime decision, do your research and be cautious before you finally decide.
I would recommend you to join MBA forum in BusinessWeek (its free) and post your queries. I am sure you will get good contacts there. Also join admissions411.com to get a feel of the profiles of your competitors applying to same colleges.
Good Luck
