The Greens were only standing by their beliefs when it came to the vote in the Scottish Parliament on whether or not to scrap the bridge tolls.
The question that still needs to be answered is why did the Labour and Lib Dem coalition decide to scrap the tolls on the Skye and the Erskine bridges but cannot do the same for the only two remaining toll bridges in the East of Scotland.
Double standards or West Coast bias?

It is almost as if that's where all their seats are!

It is remarkable that people who don't vote Labour get their A & E closed too!

So yes I believe double (triple) standards explain their behaviour.

When the Dartford tunnel was built it was said that the charge would be dropped once it was paid for. Then the Queen Elizabeth bridge was built there and again the charge would be dropped when it was paid for!
Now it is admitted that these charges are another nice little earner for Blair and his profligate government and will remain.
