mainly because paranormal activity can be so easilly mocked and there is really no proof. Most people judge what is real by what they can see. What they can tell is real by their five sences and their intelect. The stories of paranormal activity seems soo dumb to them that they dismiss it as people being dumb or hicks or too gulible. A person who dosen't want to belive can poke holes in anything.
As for myself I can see aruas and have prophetic dreams. Most people don't belive me but that's their problem not mine. Bye.

A majority of the public does believe in the paranormal to some extent. Many people are taught that ghosts and other facets of the paranormal do not exist or are completely impossible (since science has not proven them). The problem is that our society as a whole does not accept the idea of psi phenomena (ESP, PK, and Survival of bodily death; i.e., ghosts). Our science focus has swerved from those types of quests toward technology and the future of sustaining life on the planet. Many skeptics keep the press and public under thumb with their limited beliefs of science's capabilities.
I was also a non-believer until I formed a Paranormal investigation group in 1996. Since then I have fought to explain what I have encountered but admit that there are things at work that are beyond normal explanation. On the flip side, there are those that are too quick to believe...

Systems in society were put in place to control human thinking and behaviour (to condition). We are forced to believe that if it's not physical, than it doesn't exist.
If society allowed us humans to believe in the paranormal - our own metaphysical experiences - than it would allow free thinking. These systems that were put in place by governments will than be questioned because everyone has a different opinion, and thus the downfall of these systems (through rebellion and revolutions).
I've seen and experienced many different things in my lifetime; UFO's, ghosts, angels, demons, telekinetic energy, telepathy, remote viewing, premonitions, invocations of deities - just to name a few. Through these experiences I've realised that if you believe in something so much, it will exist and happen right before you. Like remote viewing (seeing through your third eye), I was a passenger in a moving car, closed my eyes and concentrated very hard on seeing through my third eye. First attempt lasted 2 sec. Second attempt lasted 3 seonds. Third attempt lasted 10 seconds and it's awesome. It's like a tv screen that opens before you, and because the car was in motion, I saw the other cars on the road, the trees swaying in the wind - and it was all in colour. But what was more interesting, it was as though I was on the hood of the car, watching the scenery before me.
I read an article about the U.S. Intelligence training remote viewing to their spies so they can see through enemy walls and look at documents in briefcases. I guess this can open up another discussion; why do governments deny paranormal activity exists, when they use it for their own training?

Why is it hard for people to believe in paranormal activity? Simple! There are 2 answers as to why...:
1) A lot of paranormal activity can be faked now-a-days. With the development of newer technology (computers, video effects... etc) - it's getting harder to tell what's real and what's not. This only applies to videos and photographs - right? Wrong. It applies to even the 'lights' you see in the sky - there are always new inventions and modifications to aircraft - that are always waiting to be 'accidentally' discovered (like, Government aircraft).
2) People don't believe anything until they see it. It's true that most of us will ask for actual evidence, but others will remain skeptical with or without evidence (videos/photos... etc) shown to them. They are the people who need to experience or see something with their own eyes in order to believe it. (I personally used to be part of this group).
One of my experiences was with a ghost. I've posted it already several times, when replying to others - so I'm not exactly going to bother typing it ALL out AGAIN: But in brief, I woke up one morning to find a ghost standing around the foot of my bed. It was an experience that scared me really badly.
Another experience I had was when I was with the family, and we were driving some where. We were going up a highway - when my sister asked "What kind of plane is that?". I looked up, to see a weird shiny looking object. I thought it was a plane too - until - after 10 mintues I realized it was still 'hanging' there. Thinking it was some sort of balloon - we kept watching it, to see if it was going to pop or maybe blow anyway - but the whole time, it just 'hung' there. After about 20 mintues of looking at it, it 'left' - according to what my sister told me (I personally did not see it leave/fly away... or whatever it did).

A majority of humanity does believe in the supernatural in some form or another. All religions embody supernatural and metaphysical principals. A majority of the planet is a member of some religion. A majority of people believe in life after death. I think the question should be. WHY do so many people believe in the paranormal when very few have any direct experience with it.

Hmmm. For me it's a tie. I got chased by a ghost one time/and (years later) a ghost held onto a door not letting me close it. No...wait....I think the best experience I had was when I went into a small room of a house I lived in as a child and the room disappeared and I was somewhere else. Yeah, that was the wildest for me.

Because they should not happen! But they do, I know. No matter what there is always a reason for something. I have seen a plastic table move around by itself, then later a sibling stated "plastic can be magnetic too" I have seen things vanish and appear. Missed a complete day and more... Them guys at the scalar interferometer lab somewhere are somewhat getting on my goat.

Mostly because it's only testimonial evidence/ There's never a video or a voice recording of any of these great happenings. If I don't believe infomercials, why should I believe your pitch ?
