Sadly the fact that it was known for hundreds of years that cows were "herbivores" was ignored by greedy farmers and food manufacturers who decided that coes could be fattened by feeding them "animals" instead of grain. This was the cause of "Mad Cow" (trying to make a cow a "carnivore" and it has caused financial disaster in western Canada and the U.S.
Big news in Canada is that the acute shortage of nurses. 15000 nurses will retire soon leaving a real crisis in nursing care.
Another Catholic priest has been found guilty of many offenses toward young boys. These sad cases have rocked the foundations of the church who have had to pay millions in compensation to the victims.
