d conversion scale in computers is 1024..
so every 1024 bytes makes 1 KB
and, every 1024 KB makes 1 Mb
and so on....
therefore,
100 Mbps makes 102400 Kbps.....
which is far larger than 500 Kbps...
nd hence, that many times faster...as this speed tells you abotu teh rate at which data is being transferred on teh network...

Definitely 100 Mbps is faster.
500Kbps is almost half of 1Mbps, which is about 0.5Mbps

100 mega (million) bits per second is much faster than
500 kilo (thousand) bps
You'd much rather have 500 million dollars than 500 thousand!
