Because when ladies like you and I open our mouths people already have visions of ladies burning bras and setting fire to their kitchens in their heads!

Scary but true women who are feminists are seen as extremists. Noone other than other ladies like us seem to understand what we are passionate about.

I'm lucky in the fact that my aunt is also a feminist-it makes life easier at big gatherings :)

Yep it is their ignorance about what feminism is. Not ever read a book about it, not ever thought of the patriarchal system, because they are mutually benefiting from it. The more silent and obeying they are the more they'll be protected by men against other men..They'll be able to stay at home and take care of babies in peace, instead of getting beaten in the tough work arena..
Who holds the reins (men) never thinks how the horses suffer from his weight. And any time a horse cries out..he gets angry for there s someone who wants to destroy his system. And the silent horses don't want to be considered a rioter fearing they will drive the rider's hatred, and get hurt or be left all alone against bad intentioned people..plus learned desperateness, man-addiction... I can count you many reasons why women dunna wanna be classified as the "black sheep"

that's ok . Many feminists want children now as they grow older , they realise there is more to life . Men aren't bad, some of them don't love and appreciate women like they should .

"Feminism is the radical notion that women are people."
I might be a little biased, but I don't see anything wrong with being a feminist. Blessed be sister!
