Nakedness refers to the state of full or partial nudity (being without clothing)

Nude or nudity refers to a state of exposure, being completely or partially without clothing.

Also(not from the source, just my opinion), being naked is more of physical, while nude can be about other things...(in a deeper sense)

when you talk about a person's body there isnt really a difference..its just nude sounds classier.

there is a difference in general because nude is purely physical only referring to someone without clothing. naked can be relating to more than that. for example, "to see with the naked eye" meaning the eye and not just using tools like a microscope. it can also be a state of embarrassment or emotional exposure. this one song says "im cold and i am shamed... lying naked on the floor". this does not mean physically naked, it would mean her secrets are out or her emotions have been displayed publicly. maybe that people saw the worst side of her.

I just called a friend who is a practicing nudist. He gave me the following:

Nude is without clothing.
Naked is unprotected.

I really don't have an answer personally but I thought I would offer some words from him. Your question raised my curiosity enough to call him.

Hope that helps.
