In order to answer this question, we must refer to the genius of George Carlin. He stated "Selling is legal....f*****g is legal, so why isn't selling f*****g legal?"

This is a deceptively tough question. Most prostitutes do not choose prostitution but are left with relatively no choice but to go into prostitution simply to make a living whether it's to buy food, drugs, take care of their kids, whatever. I disagree with prostitution because of the social factors that make it necessary for both the part of the buyer and the part of the seller.
That being said, however, I think that the least the creators of these social factors could do would be to make prostitution legal so that it could be better regulated. Because of its current legal status the prostitutes themselves have no source of support for their labors.

No I don't, and i'm assuming you want prostitution to be legal because a cop busted you, while you were trying to get a prostitute?
People who pay prostitutes are just as low and pathetic as the prostitutes themselves.
Prostitution would never be legal in the United States.

Prostitution should be legal. We should have control over our own bodies, Prostitution already exists, if "sex workers" as they are called in some countries, were legal , health care standards would be easier to maintain.

Well if they legalized prostitution I think one benefit is the prostitutes would clean up their act. Look on all the streets corners where there are hookers. You can pick them out in a minute. But if it were legalized I think they would clean themselves up as the government would be in a better position to keep them clean.

yes, because it is human nature.. if you get horny you ****.. but because of social realm, religions and moral/ethical, we are restrained to do this... it should be legal because they (the government) will never and can't stop this.. i mean just the internet, it is crowded with pornographic sites! there should be regulations though, like no under 18 should be a prostitute, and so on... it can't be stopped but it can be controlled.. in this way also, crimes like rape should decrease.

You will never stop prostitution, so why not regulate it? It works in Holland.
