wel if im correct being baptized is 'being reborn in the blood of god or something like that'and the water simbolizes the washing away of the old ,sin if u may and being reborn as a child of god,people are scared i think of change being baptized comes with alot of new ground,people hesitate cause they not comfortable with the idea of not being in control.wel thats my opinion.

People don't want to get baptized because they are not believers in Christ (who calls us to be baptized) and they don't want to be hypocrites.
It's one of those situations in life where you shouldn't encourage a person to fake it. In doing so, you diminish its meaning.
If you really desire a person's baptism, first pray for them to have the belief....baptism is merely an outward symbol of an inward knowledge (except, of course, infant baptism.)

thats a great question that i can answer from a personal prespctive. i am 23 i have never been baptized. recently i started wanting to get baptised very bad but ui want to wait. i want to wait until i am ready. i realize that noone is perfect but i sin. not intentionally but i just want to be sure that i wont sin as much i guess. i want to be sure that i can live right and be the person who god wants me to be. thats why i waited

Because it is a Christian sacrament., and most people in the world aren't Christian. Also, there are many types of baptize, War, fire, flood, and wind.
