Whatever happened to him ? Did he originally escape South Africa because of the Anti-Aparthied ban ? Was he originally a professional boxer ? Did he have a run in with Viv Richards ? Even though Viv was the master blaster would a former boxer have knocked him out ? How long did he open for Australia, did he feel as though he was "sold-out" by selectors ? Where is he now, did he return to South Africa ?

kjkool yeh now I remember ! It was disgraceful the way they ran him down like that. A man of true grit and charachter, would he have beaten Viv though ?

I dont know if escaped is the right term, but he did leave South Africa due to the aparthied ban. he came over to Australia as he liked the conditions for players after the WSC issue was resolved.

He did have a run in with Viv, and I have heard that Kepler was a good boxer, and thats why his nose was a funny shape - from all the fights he was in.

He left Australia at the end of the 1985-86 season, because he was pissed off about the fact he had been accused as an organiser of the rebel tours to South Africa that rocked Australian cricket. He didnt want to play for people he felt didnt trust him.

He is still in South Africa now and is a TV commentator.
