Kanji are the Chinese characters that are used in the modern Japanese logographic writing system along with hiragana, katakana and the Arabic numerals. The Japanese term kanji literally means "Han characters".

'Kanji' as in food???? If that's what you mean, then its just plain boiled rice. Normally, u strain the water the rice is cooked in, but kanji is rice with that water. Its generally eaten when you're sick, especially if its a stomach illness, as kanji is quite light.

Don't know if t's the same, but japanese writing symbols are called Kanji.
