And whats it called ? It seems to put the chasing (batting) team in a very difficult position ! From memory it seems to have been this way for a long time !

In a rain interrupted match D/L Method is applied, which is in most cases is of disadvantage for the team batting second.

Because its easier to score less runs in less overs but the run rate stays the same. And it all depends on wickets lost by the team batting second.
