I had a friend who did it and was pleased with the results.

While it is possible to loose weight from the procedure, this is not the main goal. The main goal of the procedure is to remove parasites from the colon.

Colonic irrigation is also known as hydrotherapy of the colon, high colonic, entero-lavage, or simply colonic. It is the process of cleansing the colon by passing several gallons of water through it with the use of special equipment. It is similar to an enema but treats the whole colon, not just the lower bowel. This has the effect of flushing out impacted fecal matter, toxins, mucous, and even parasites, that often build up over the passage of time. It is a procedure that should only be undertaken by a qualified practitioner.

The cost of colonic irrigation treatments varies, but is generally between $35-70 per session, which may last from 45 minutes to one hour.

Colonic irrigation is not the usage I think. You mean enema? In ayurvedic medicine there is a treatment method called VASTHI which is a wonderful therapeutic procedure for a list of chronic as well as acute disease. That you can try if medically indicated. And make sure that you get it done under expert ayurvedist's supervision.

Be very careful if you decide to do it. The side effects can be a ruptured bowel +or- a colostomy after surgery.

Do your own colonic wash out. Take orally psyllium and lots of water on a daily bases. Much less expensive and painful

Had it done. Was weird but felt definitly lighter after. You could see an effect on my stomach.
I think it made my intestines lazy afterwards though. Never did it again and probably never will. But don't regret having done it either.
