I found that the timing of the day can be a factor when I take my pill and for years I used to take them early in the a.m, had problems with nauseau and such so that I took anti-nauseau medicines for a time. Finally reverted to taking the medication at nite.
Another tip I learned from the assistant that used to work for my gyn is to take some peanut butter (if one is not allergic to peanuts of course) and then take the medication 15 minutes later. The reason is b/c it gives the stomach some protein.
As the other poster said consult your dr about this as well so that they can check to see if you are low on electrolytes and such.

Eating crackers helped me. Years ago when I took birth control pills they made me sick, so i would almost vomit every night when i took the pill, just because i knew how sick i was going to feel the next a.m. somebody told me to eat crackers in the a.m. just as many do when experiencing morning sickness, and it did help me. I have a daughter who is 36, and she can not swallow a pill,,,of any size! So whenever she is prescribed a medication in pill form, she will ask if it is available in liquid, and then request it that way. If it doesn't, her dr.will try to find a similar med. that does. When there is no other options but a pill, she will mash it if she can and take it that way, She swears she simply cannot swallow a pill,,,I have seen her practically make herself sick over the thought of it. As mom,, I tell her I think alot of it is pyscological, but she doesn't agree. So, I was wondering if you feel any anxiety about just taking the pills, and if so,,,perhaps trying liquid form, if possible. good luck to you.

Well I think that maybe that you are on one of them that have a lot of the hormones in it. Have you tried yaz the new bc that just came out. This is a good medication when taking it for medication reason and when you have to control something. Getting a bc that is lower is hormones will help not give you so much sickness. Like the bc Loestrin or Yaz. Anything that will have something lo in it.

My roommate had the same problem. She was taking it for about a week but it was making her sick every day...so she stopped taking it. She had about 6 months of supply and she gave me the rest....that's why I remember.
