That once again some man is having an individual experience with one woman and blaming all "women".

I, personally, love the differences between men and women and the last thing I want is a man who isn't one. I want to know, at every turn, that you are bigger, stronger and more in control. I want to melt into you. I want to trust you, in fact if I do trust you I trust you with everything. I sometimes think that I was born out of time and want to go back to when women were protected and cherished by men and deserved to be. I don't want to be weak, but don't mind being submissive as that's in my nature. It's quite alright with me that you don't gush your feelings all over the place, that you don't do the touchy feely stuff - leave that to me. I need you to compliment me, not be like me.

So, I'm not the one trying to change you. Go ahead and be a man. I prefer it that way.

It means he has cheated on her and justifies it with the standard "guys are biologically inclined" BS. Either that, or she has *gasp* asked him to fold some laundry, do some dishes, change a diaper, or put on a satin pegnoir set and pole dance for her. I guess it all depends on the context in which the question is asked.

He has already defined in his own mind what it is to be a man.
You have asked him to step outside his definition.
He is uncomfortable with the possibility that he might have to do the work of change.
He believes he is perfect the way he is, and you should respect that.
He also believes you are perfect the way you are.
He doesn't want to change your relationship.
There are good and not so good things here. You pick through them and decide what you want to make of it.
