(Presumably Friday's "unlucky" in some cultures because of the Crucifixion.)

In the Greek world, Tuesday (the day of the week of the Fall of Constantinople) is considered an unlucky day. The same is true in the Spanish-speaking world, where a proverb runs En martes, ni te cases ni te embarques (On Tuesday, neither get married nor begin a journey). For both Greeks and Spanish-speakers, the 13th of the month is considered unlucky if it falls on Tuesday, instead of Friday.

In Greece and Spain, only Tuesday the 13th is considered unlucky and brings bad things; a proverb runs En martes, ni te cases ni te embarques (on Tuesday, neither get married nor start a journey).

It's just superstition..........fear for no reason at all.

It's not that tuesday is unlucky in Spain, it's just the fact the here it's tuesday the 13th and in England it's friday the 13th, why is it friday the 13th and not tuesday the 13th who's right ???

mayeb because spanish for tuesday is martes, which is a close anagram of smart, and they dont like dressing up smart (suit/shirt etc) because it's hot a lot of the time, and it means they'll be sweating to death.

so in short - tuesday = hot and sweaty which is not very nice, an hence unlucky?

its just a case of positive or negative thinking isnt it...... i mean if you expect somat bad to happen then its likely it will..... so if it is superstition suggests that tuesdays are bad in spain then people who believe this will be giving of negative vibes and therefore negative things may happen to which they attribute to it being tuesday.......

so the morel of the story is think positive.. be positive

:D
