The funny thing is they always talk about gang violence on the news and try to teach kids not to get involved in that life style, but it is SO glamorized that it shows these artist have everything from expensive cars, mansions, money, women and kids think its cool. The fact is if they really wanted to help stop gang violence, the government would Ban these albums from coming out. But its bringing in all the money, so basically they don't care. Its gonna be out there, and music is gonna get more hardcore. Regardless what type it is. And its up to the parents to monitor what THEIR child is bringing into THEIR home. And every kid is different, some kids get brainwashed easily and become copycats, and others simple take the music for what it is...music.

Most of Society use curse words with little or no respect for any one, so why do you pick on RAP?
Movies show RAPE, Murder, WAR, Theft, RAW SEX and use a lot of CURSING.
Curse words are used within family settings, groups talking together on the street, in the bus, where ever.If you want to talk moral issues, consider this one: In no country on earth has the authorities shot one of their citizens 41 or more times! Not with a machine gun, not with an automatic weapon! Only in America, not once but more than two times! Where was your voice,
your outrage?
Since it was whites shooting blacks, you had nothing to say! But your inference to Blacks using curse words is a huge issue!
The BIBLE says, remove the wooden plank from your eye, before considering the splinter on the other persons shoulder!

Because rappers are stupid and those are basically the most used words in their vocabulary. They just want to make a buck and get rich from the kids instead of writing a nice song that has meaning like they did in the 70's and 80's.

They are just following suit and trying to make money. The record labels choose these people. They know that kids will buy into the stereotypes, or maybe want to rebel against the norm. Its shock value entertainment.
The real question is, how come good rappers with a real message to their music never get signed to major labels??

Because that's the kind of stuff that sells, swearing, sex, drugs, guns, crime. Anything to get the shock value out of an adult lol. And I doubt the parents look at the covers and lyrics. If they did, the kids wouldn't have them lol...

people use bad words all the time..even kids ( who don't listen to rap) or even minors...and people don't even buy CD's anymore..because you could easily download it or listen to it online..very simple process of which some of the parents don't realize that..but having to deal with the minors who use bad words very often could depend on the envioroment the kid live in. also who they hang with or live with..its not only about music..its about taking care of your kids and telling them right from wrong.

"bad words" in your opinion maybe. What makes them bad, and who defines that? That's like saying how I hold my spoon is rude, whoever thought that up? I hold my spoon however it's comfortable. How someone communicates is not necessarily bad just because you can't identify with it. Their audience is people who talk and act like they do, who identify with them, if you don't like it, don't listen to it.
