2. Corruption in the government that funds go to their personal coffer hence no program for employment
3. Lands are owned by few, if ever distributed, farmers have no fund.

Lack of Planning by State Administrators:
A govt has to plan in such a way that how the available resources to be optimized for the country, to provide better education, provide good health facilities and family planning awareness, creating a corruption free administration.
Over Population and under-utilization of resources

Unemployment also is an important role to lead the economy to poverty.

Poverty is making lot of impacts to an economy:
Poverty is the symbol of underdeveloped and developing countries. Poverty will lead again to overpopulation, epidemics, unemployment after all total underdevelopment to the economy

America has less poverty than most countries, but more than some (mainly because we have such a huge population.)
Most poverty in America is caused by:
1. People being under-educated, forced to work hard labor jobs for minimum wage.
2. Disabled people unable to get assistance
3. people born into poverty and not given the advantages and resources they need to advance and prosper
and 4. Some people are just too damn lazy to work (I know a few of these types, actually)

In most cases the cause of poverty in my country comes from peer pressure and wanting to fit in with the crowd this happens to mostly young people between the ages of 12 to 23 and the effects are robbery which leads to guns and murders and depression which leads to suicide.

In Canada we have a very generous social safety net. But there are a few catches.

Welfare...must have an address to get welfare/ but cannot get an address without welfare. Catch 22

Homelessness is deemed more a minor inconvenience then an epidemic.

You must be unemployed 3 months (after benefits) to qualify for welfare that puts many people on the street

Universal Heath care allows EVERYONE regardless of income basic health care services.

Causes-Lack of education/training, economy changes, mental illness, poor government planning

lack of education leads to poverty: a country that has a very poor education system does have a poor population.
lack of population management:: too many people in one's country would lead to poverty.
lack of food for it's own people: this is the most basic effect of poverty. u need to import just to feed which would be horrific for a nation.
lack of good governance over the people: corrupt officials of the government causes poverty, instead of helping they help themselves over the resources of one's country.
lack of nationalism: people who tends to think only for their own good..but not the good of the people will always be poor.

in Australia our government is becoming more like America each, Homeless people have risen in numbers, my partner and i are on good incomes yet fuel prices make it difficult for us and our grocery bill has gone up $40 within the last 12 months. i don't fit in the low income earners but we still struggle. I pay $250 rent a week, i might as well get a mortgage. i feel sorry for the families who would struggle the most at this time, hopefully Kevin Rudd will become prime minister and help Australia get back to the way labour had it.

effects - each generation becomes like the one before it, not unlike a culture of poverty
