...admit to a bit of ganja puffing. It happened while he was at school (aka...a long time ago), so is he getting it off his chest so the Sun/Mirror/Mail don't turn up with it now and then, as they are wont to do, or is this his way of impressing people who think politics are for 'the other people'...as well as the long supporting Labour voters who have had enough of Mr.Blair, and are wary of Gordon Brown?

Nice one, Bexs - but with Labours' situation as it is now, they couldn't have wished for a better story to muck Mr. Cameron's cheeks with! If the young man had kept it to himself, the press would hound him...especially when he visited council estates or universities. Maybe he's out manoeuvred Mr. Blair - and in time, the press, and so 'friends of friends' can't trot off to the open-armed red-tops to tell them David...when he was wee, liked his Pakistan Black/Columbian Gold now and then!

So what if he did? People did a lot of stupid things when they were young. As long as he doesn't do it now and realises it was stupid so what? Get over it. He's just another stupid hooray Henry. You know the type, Tim nice but dim.

This is nothing new he made the "I smoked blaw at collage" statement when he very first came in to the limelight about two years ago this is just a reiteration. Yes it is for the benefit of the press with general elections looming soon no surprises would be wanted on this front for the electorate.

they're grooming the public to deal with the one who truly owns it all. The person who was meant to be running the world, but this person is a human and he has faults that may otherwise make him unelectable. The people in control right now just want a little relief and I cant blame them. It's like when the teacher puts one of thier students in charge of the class.

David Cameron does not want to discuss it and never has - it is the press and labour who won't let it go. So what, he had a joint 20 years ago - why should he discuss it, it's private. It pales into insignificance when compared to the dirty underhand and illegal dealings of Tony Blair and his cronies.

Cameron didn't put the story out, it was the guy writing his biography. He didn't want the story out, because "law-makers shouldn't be law-breakers". However I don't think the story will do him much harm. I doubt it will do him much good either. He may have smoked canabis once but he doesn't look the sort to do it now.

I wish Gordon Brown would! There's someone who needs his mind altering.

When a new leader starts to 'confess' to being human just like young people, he is clutching at straws.

He is then on his way out. He has NO policies and is desperate.

Goodbye, David!

Yes it is politics and trying to get young people to listen.

Don't you think "youth" go on rampages when they think politicans are not listening?

You may have a point asbo....partly so it can't be 'discovered' at a later date by the tabloids, and partly because they think it makes em look cool. It's a bit pathetic if you ask me.
