Here´s why:
1. the adverb ("well") must come before the past participle ("equipped") because this is a compound word;
2. adjectives, such as "good" and "nice" modify nouns (not verbs): a nice kitchen; a good book, etc.
3. therefore, the correct alternative is "well-equipped".
