I am so glad you had a great love. Don't close your heart to a new one. If you were able to love that much, you will be able to love again. It would be like saying, I had five children, but can only love the first one. Real love has no bounds. Your first love would be glad for you. I know I would want my husband to find another person to love as much or more than me because love is the best thing we can ever have.

I hope so. I have been alone for a number of years, but I have been busy raising the child and didn't want to take time from that to give what was leftover to someone else.

I plan again to have a deep relationship with someone else, but I want to make sure that I am available to pursue with something more than a part time effort. I also wanted to make sure that I had taken enough time to put the old feelings into a place of peace. I think I was afraid of having three people in a two person relationship.

So again, I hope so. I plan on it being so as I so very much miss the depth of the life that I had at that time. I wish you well with it as some hearts need to be shared.

I think you have many soul mates over a lifetime, some are friends, family, spouses. A soul mate is a person who you resonnate with, that chemistry when you meet which may or may not be sexual. You just know you've met someone important in your life.

I don't believe in "soul mates"; it implies a superior force predetermining your destiny. Can't quite swallow that
But I do believe you will have many different people you can connect with at that level. They don't come along every day, but there is more than one out there. Speaking from experience here.

Anyone who touches your soul would be considered a soul mate, so yes.

I am pretty sure we only have one true soulmate designated for us. Whether you married your wife, the question of her as your soulmate shouldn't even come into question, but you are in doubts so that means to say that your idea of your late wife as your soulmate is in question, meaning there is distraction that is making you think the other way around now ( a new soulmate). it is hard to say because some people get married not because of the pure love existing between the couple, but because they felt like they didn't have any choice but to get married, in other circumstances, people get married for security reasons. Now it is up to you to determine the depth of your love to your late wife which is doubtful now for me that she was your soulmate.
I believe your soulmate comes in without notice, and you just feel so right about it, no questions ask or no doubts would shroud your mind over to confusion about it. No matter if it is going to be a relationship or not under circumstances.
