I don't know about god. It seems a bizarre and primitive belief to me, though understandable in the context of the ignorance in which the idea developed. But as for heaven - you're standing in it. Dogma and doctrine only blinds most people to the wonder of it. As the hymn says "lift up thine eyes". And try to look after it. Good luck.

I personally believe that all that you have to do is pray and ask Jesus, his son, to intercede for you. Any problems, anything that weighs on your heart that you feel is keeping you from God have already been taken care of by Christ. Pray to God. Ask him to come into your life, into your heart, and wash away all of your guilt through Jesus the Christ. If you ask him to forgive you for everything you've done wrong in the past, and to guide you from now on, that's really all that you need to do. Belief in God and in his Son, Jesus Christ, is all that's required of us. Remarkably simple, no?
If you want to get closer to God here on Earth, I suggest that you spend time praying, meditating, going to a church somewhere, trying to live your life so that every breath you breathe is a silent prayer. Remember to treat all life with respect and love. Everything was created by God, and if you let Him use you to love the people around you, you will find yourself more fulfilled than you could possibly imagine. Try every day to find something simple, something beautiful that fills you with warmth, and give thanks to the God who brought it into being. When life is going well, thank Him for your friends, family, and loved ones, and all of the little things that bring you joy. When life is hard, ask Him to make His presence known to you so that you can have the strength to press on. Give God room to work with you and through you, and in time, you will feel close to Him.

According to what is going on in the world today, only Muslims that commit atrocities are allowed in heaven, the rest of us will rot in hell.
I don't believe that theory of course, because I don't believe in heaven or hell or anything like that.
